Kobayashi Travel Service

Kobayashi Travel Service saw its roots in Hawaii established in 1892 when the Kobayashi Hotel was established in Chinatown.  In 1955, Kobayashi Travel Service began to service the people of Hawaii as it opened its doors as a retail travel agency across what is today Aala Park.  From those humble beginnings, it has since grown to 3 offices.  The Hilo office opened its doors in 1967 in the heart of downtown Hilo.  In 2000, Kobayashi Travel further expanded by acquiring Koolau Travel which continues to serve the residents of the windward side as Kobayashi Travel Koolau. 

Through the years, Kobayashi Travel Service continues to provide a service with the commitment, ethical standards, and attention to quality as it did in 1955.  The people of Hawaii have come to understand and trust that such service can only be driven by the vision that the company has in providing fair and competitive prices.

Kobayashi Travel Service retail branches is one part of this long standing business tradition.  Other affiliated companies are; Aloha World - the tour division of Kobayashi Travel Service, Polynesian Hospitality - a motorcoach company servicing the island of Oahu, The Tour Shop - an tour operator providing one day land and inter-island tours to the Japanese market.
