Wednesday, May 17 (Day 01)
Alaska Glacier MapHONOLULU TO ANCHORAGE, ALASKA
Our tour commences this evening when we assemble at the Honolulu Airport for baggage check-in procedures. We will depart Honolulu on Alaska Airlines for our direct flight to Anchorage - Alaska's largest city in the south central region.

Thursday, May 18 (Day 02)
ARRIVE ANCHORAGE - GIRDWOOD
On arrival at the Anchorage International Airport in the early morning, we'll board our chartered motor coach to begin our exciting tour of Alaska. We'll stop for breakfast (own expense) and enjoy a city tour, making a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The center is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Alaska's wildlife through public education. The mission at the center is to take-in injured and orphaned animals, providing them spacious enclosures and quality care. We'll spend two nights at The Hotel Alyeska, a resort town located in a lush valley near Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet in Girdwood.

Friday, May 19 (Day 03)
GIRDWOOD - SEWARD - GIRDWOOD. (B)(L)
We'll travel on a scenic drive to Seward to enjoy a six-hour unforgettable Wildlife and Glacier Cruise. Enjoy the calm protected waters of Resurrection Bay and see the vast beauty of Kenai Fjords National Park, experiencing breathtaking scenery, massive glaciers and wildlife - home to whales, sea otters, sea lions, puffins, and seabirds. A delicious Alaskan salmon and prime rib buffet style lunch will be served on board the ship.

Saturday, May 20 (Day 04)
GIRDWOOD - WASILLA (B)
We head north to our next attraction, a Knik Glacier tour. Our 3-hour adventure begins on an Alaskan Safari featuring a 4-mile cross-country ride in a 4 x 4 van or monster truck through the spectacular backcountry of Lake George National Natural Landmark. We will cross rivers, see beautiful fields of wildflowers and get a first view of the mighty Knik Glacier. We'll arrive Glacier Island to board a fully enclosed airboat to experience the thrill of flying on the water, passing waterfalls and occasional stray icebergs as we keep an eye out for wildlife. We'll cruise around icebergs for some great photo opportunities, then pull ashore for a one-hour visit to Glacier Camp. Pull-up a chair for a front row seat to one of nature's most impressive natural wonders. We'll take a hike around the iceberg filled lake, and if you're a rock hound, you'll find some truly impressive gems. We'll spend one night at the Best Western Lake Lucille Inn in Wasilla, the sixth-largest city in Alaska.

Sunday, May 21 (Day 05)
WASILLA - FAIRBANKS (B)
This morning, we'll take a scenic drive north and visit the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center. The center showcases exhibits on Interior Alaska and its people. The main exhibits, "How We Live: The People and the Land" features life-size dioramas depicting the seasons of Interior Alaska. We will spend three nights at the Best Western Chena River Lodge in Fairbanks, the largest city in the Interior region.

Monday, May 22 (Day 06)
FAIRBANKS (B)
This morning, we'll board the Riverboat 'Discovery III' and cruise into the heart of Alaska. We'll see a bush floatplane takeoff alongside the boat, visit the home and kennels of the late four-time Iditarod winner Susan Butcher and see her champion sled dogs in action. We'll visit the Athabascan Indian Village where our Alaska Native guide will take us on a personalized tour of the Chena Indian Village. Enjoy an adventure at the Gold Dredge 8, beginning with a presentation about the construction and operation of the Trans Alaska Pipeline, as we ride a replica of the Tanna Valley Railroad into the gold fields where we will pan for gold.

Tuesday, May 23 (Day 07)
FAIRBANKS (B)
Enjoy a tour of the University of Alaska Museum of the North. Their exhibits include a 2,000 year spectrum of Alaska art - from ancient ivory carving, the state's largest public display of gold, Blue Babe (a 36,000 year-old mummified steppe bison) ,and two impressive movies - the Dynamic Aurora and the Winter & Artic Currents. We'll travel north to visit the Fairbanks Ice Museum to see the beautiful ice sculptures, watch artists at work, and see the tools they use to create their masterpieces.

Wednesday, May 24 (Day 08)
FAIRBANKS - TALKEETNA - WASILLA (B)
We'll depart Fairbanks to enjoy a tour of Kahiltna Birchworks, a family-run Alaskan business and the world's largest producer of pure organic birch syrup. We'll take a self-guided tour of their facility and sample some of their birch products. We'll spend two nights at the Best Western Lake Lucille Inn in Wasilla.

Thursday, May 25 (Day 09)
WASILLA - WHITTIER - WASILLA (B)(L)
Today, we'll be going on an amazing five-hour Phillips 26 Glacier Cruise. We'll traverse 145 miles through the pristine passageways of Alaska's Prince William Sound. Bald eagles, orcas and sea otters are commonly seen fishing is this area. We'll turn north for a panoramic view of all the glaciers named after the Eastern Colleges during the Harriman Expedition. The captain will plot a path through the ice-filled waters up to the front of the glacier so passengers can watch for house-sized chunks of ice calving into the sea.

Friday, May 26 (Day 10)
ANCHORAGE TO HONOLULU (B)
The morning is at your leisure to relax before we transfer to the airport for our afternoon flight home, arriving Honolulu in the early evening.
